CutsByRef started as a dream. As a sophomore in high school living a busy teenage life, one thing Ref took seriously were his haircuts. With no cheap alternative, he   purchased  an at home clipper set and went to experiment on himself.  After months of trial and error and the help of a few brave friends, he walked right into Bespoke, the local Men's Grooming Shop and demanded a chair there. Ref's talent spoke for itself and he secured his chair the following morning. He worked through his junior year and senior year of high school day in and day out mastering his craft. He gained a religious following there, with clients coming to Teaneck, New Jersey from all over, just to get Cut By Ref. After high school Ref took a gap year abroad in Israel. There he continued to barber his entire school, his teachers, even his teachers' kids, as well as many others who prioritized CutsByRef. Following his year abroad Ref came back to America and started college playing division 3 soccer at Yeshiva University in NYC. Here Ref won over a large majority of his university as clients and continued to grow his business throughout New York City, and the Tri-State area. By now, Ref transitioned into catering towards Private in-home House cuts. He has traveled to all different ends of the country, but bases out of NYC. By this point Ref has made for himself a large list of Amazing, Loyal, and Well Groomed clients. Ref values his customers more than anything and lives to see them happy and looking fresh.
